Job overview

Following the announcement of the retirement of our long-standing, dynamic and well respected Headteacher, the Governors, staff and children of Spring Hill Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic person to build upon the school's current achievement. There are many opportunities for our new Headteacher to use their vision, experience and drive to help the school grow and develop, and to nurture its special ethos.

`The school is a happy community where learning and good behaviour are valued, and where pupils whatever their ability or needs, are made to feel welcome'. This is a `good' school' (OFSTED 2014).

We aim to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children feel valued and respected. They are motivated to become independent and confident learners and thinkers who will become responsible, trustworthy and caring members of society.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and inspirational leaders who have demonstrated strong leadership qualities as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.

All applicants are encouraged to visit the school prior to submitting their application. Please contact Miss S Grimshaw, Headteacher on 01254 399009.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Act 1975. If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service for a 'disclosure'.

Closing date: 13 September 2016 at 12 noon.
Interview date: 29 September 2016.

Application forms can be downloaded online or can be requested from: recruitment@btlancashire.co.uk. Completed applications must be submitted electronically to: recruitment@btlancashire.co.uk.
