We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced leader to join the school at an exciting point in the development of what is already an outstanding school.

The aim of Pendle Primary School is to develop to the full, each individual pupil's talents, abilities, and self-confidence within a caring, ordered and stimulating educational environment.

Due to the retirement of our current headteacher, the pupils, staff, and governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and dedicated individual to lead Pendle Primary School from May 2017 (possibly September 2017 if necessary). We wish to recruit a new headteacher with a clear vision to develop the future of Pendle, building upon existing strengths and able to move our school forward on to the next stage of its development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a great teacher and can lead in further raising pupil achievement
  • has a wide range of experience across the primary age range
  • will maintain our culture of high expectations of attainment and progress
  • has a proven track record of effective leadership and management
  • a dynamic leader, able to build on our strengths and identify where improvements are needed to take our outstanding school forward
  • works in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors and the community
  • will promote inclusion and diversity.
