Regardless of these challenges Woodlesford Primary remains the focal point of the village community. With an ethos of offering a broad education, we strive to develop our children to be the best they can be, both academically and as individuals, with a strong relationship with our local community.

Our children already achieve highly, but we want to aim higher, so our Headteacher should be prepared to work hard in order that our children make the best possible progress regardless of their starting point. • Is fully committed to ongoing staff development for all, creating a team who model and share best practice.
  • Demonstrates an awareness of national policy and anticipates trends, showing a pro-active approach to future school development both academic and extra-curricular.
  • Is an enthusiastic supporter of activities such as sports and academic events within the cluster and across the city.

In return we offer:

  • A welcoming, supportive and friendly learning environment and happy children who feel valued, listened to and safe.
  • Children who enjoy learning and are encouraged to make excellent progress academically, becoming confident well rounded young people.
  • The support of a hardworking, enthusiastic staff team who care for and know each child individually.
  • Governors who embrace change and are excited about the opportunity of ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress and achieve their full potential.
