Manston St James C of E Primary Academy is located in East Leeds, serving the community of Manston, Cross Gates and Leeds. Founded over 150 years ago and recently joining Abbey MAT, it has a very good reputation and is a popular choice with parents for its welcoming, loving and exciting environment for children to learn.

As a Church of England school, the school mirrors the church’s vision for an education which promotes ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). Its core purpose is to educate the whole child; uniting excellence and academic rigour with spiritual, social, moral and cultural development - enabling every child to flourish.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, values-driven leader, who is passionate about nurturing and continuing to shape a supportive and stimulating environment where both pupils and staff are empowered to be their best.

The successful candidate will also be a natural collaborator and be able to uphold the school's own unique identity whilst operating within a strategic partnership to improve quality, share best practice and operate effectively.
