Ayscoughfee Hall School is a thriving independent primary school which was founded in 1920 and is centred around a beautiful Georgian family home overlooking the River Welland in Spalding. The building has been adapted and extended with the addition of state of the art teaching facilities such as the newly refurbished Infant Block, ICT suite, art and technology room and the purpose built sports hall and music room.

The school currently has 8 classes, with small class sizes. There are 26 members of staff, both full and part time with a very high level of commitment and experience.

The specific aims of the school are:

  • To provide a broadly based education to the highest standard, achieved via traditional, but varied teaching methods in line with the National Curriculum.
  • To create a safe and happy atmosphere for our children and staff.
  • To equip pupils for selection at eleven plus and to provide a firm foundation to succeed in their Secondary Education.
  • To stimulate a positive attitude to learning and life.

The small class sizes and happy, stimulating environment help to ensure that each child reaches their potential. The class teachers are supported by a dedicated support team. In addition, specialist teaching provision for ICT, languages, sport and music is provided to help ensure a broad based education is delivered.

The school is an active member of the Independent Schools Association (ISA).
