Job overview

Whitefield Primary is a large well resourced, inclusive school with children from a wide social and cultural background. Our focus on following ‘The Whitefield Way’ for learning encourages our children to be brave and take risks, as well as knowing that getting it wrong means that there is something new to be learnt. The clear focus on Maths and English means there is a rapid improvement in standards and our focus on values education empowers a love of learning which is reflected in children’s work across the all aspects of the curriculum.

As our new Headteacher, you’ll relish the chance to give children, parents and the local community the exceptional support they deserve. You will continue the inspirational work achieved so far and build on the solid foundations of raised achievement and aspiration.

We are looking for an extraordinary individual who:

  • Is committed to every child achieving his or her potential and can secure consistently high standards in teaching and learning
  • Is a highly skilled practitioner able to understand the skills required of an outstanding classroom teacher
  • Is an inspirational and strategic leader; with a proven track record of improvement, who encourages collaborative approaches to learning
  • Can disseminate innovative teaching and learning strategies throughout the school
  • Has the highest expectation for learners, staff and the wider community

We welcome applications from enthusiastic Deputy Headteachers as well as experienced Headteachers looking for a fresh challenge. We offer you the support of a loyal team who are keen to explore new ideas in the search for continuous improvement. We invite you to walk through our doors, meet the governors, staff and pupils and experience the welcoming and enthusiastic ethos of our school.
