St Bede’s College is a Catholic HMC Independent Co-educational Grammar School in Manchester. Our mission is to inspire excellence and instill values to enable every one of our current 770 pupils to be the best they can be.

The Governors seek to appoint an inspirational and dynamic leader with significant personal presence to continue our success and lead the College and Sixth Form (pupils from 11-18 years).

Values and vision

Though the school aims to teach the values of Christ, students may be of all faiths and none. St Bede’s College aims for excellence by encouraging a curiosity to learn and a creative outlook. Teachers aim for the best outcomes for every child, not just academically, but also in performing arts and sports.

Staff teach a stimulating and enriching curriculum. Students are expected to build good personal relationships and demonstrate the values of kindness and forgiveness.

The teaching enables pupils to make good progress, encompasses effective behaviour management and is supported by suitable resources. A suitable framework for the assessment of pupil performance is in place.
