Headteacher

The Howard Academy Trust and Temple Mill Local Academy Board, are seeking to appoint an outstanding Headteacher who is strategic, collaborative, dedicated and resilient.

Temple Mill was categorised by Ofsted as a school in Special Measures prior to joining The Howard Academy Trust in October 2014.  Since joining the Trust, it has been recategorised as ‘Good’ under all headings in the recent inspection which took place in October 2018.

At this key time in the school’s development we want to appoint a Headteacher who has a strategic vision and who can work with all stakeholders to move the school further forward. The Headteacher will have successful leadership experience, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, which make them an effective leader.  We want the Headteacher to lead on ensuring that high quality education and care is in place for all pupils and to focus on further improving academic achievement and character development.

Temple Mill has an excellent local reputation. It has a talented staff who are committed to their pupils and children who are eager to learn. It has a dedicated Local Academy Board of Governors and is part of a successful and highly supportive local Multi-Academy Trust. 

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other Headteachers in the Trust and have access to first class professional support and development.
