About Lonesome Primary School

History of the school

The 'Lonesome Council School' was formally opened by the Reverend Wilson on December 14th 1903, with a total of 35 children. How things have changed...

The school has seen two World Wars and has changed beyond recognition over the years. However, the beautiful original red brick building still stands amongst its modern additions.
