Situated in the heart of a small town near the North Norfolk Coast, we are part of the Enrich Learning Trust family of schools. This is an excellent opportunity to join the school on its journey to excellence.  We are seeking a:

Role: Headteacher

Pay range: Trust Leadership point 23-27

Contract Type:  Full time

Contact Term: Permanent

Start date: 1st September 2020 or sooner if possible

We require an outstanding individual to lead our rapidly improving Academy within a supportive and high performing Multi-Academy Trust.  This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant, positive impact on our school and the Governors and Trustees are looking for someone to transform the Academy to provide an outstanding service for our young people. The successful candidate will work relentlessly to lead our community towards excellence.

We are looking for someone who:

Is an outstanding, integrous leader, with a strong leadership record

• Is passionate about students’ learning and has high expectations of all learners

• Will strategically plan for the school to deliver an outstanding, world class education for their students 

• Has exceptional communication skills and resilience

• Is seeking the opportunity to make a real difference to the learners and staff alike

North Walsham High School is a comprehensive, co-educational, maintained secondary school for pupils aged 11-16. 

The school boasts a £5.3m arts and education centre called the Atrium, which opened in September 2011. Among the facilities the centre offers are a theatre, cinema, exhibition spaces, dance studio and an auditorium that seats 186 people. 

The facilities at the Atrium are used primarily by North Walsham High School during the school day, but are open to the wider community of North Walsham and North Norfolk at other times.

North Walsham High School places a focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics with a view to ensuring that students are involved in the development of the new technologies available to them.
