Located in the rural village of Wistow, on the outskirts of Selby, Wistow Parochial Primary School has much to offer. We are welcoming and friendly with happy and well behaved children, a highly committed staff and supportive parents and governors.

We are keen to build on our success while recognising that there are improvements we need to make. Principally, these are Key Stage 2 data, improving teaching and learning and raising attainment across the school.

We are seeking an ambitious, inspirational leader with the vision, skills and experience to move us forward, if successful you will be expected to provide direction, develop strategy and raise standards. An outstanding practitioner you must be able to bring the curriculum to life in a vibrant and exciting way, while upholding our distinctive Christian ethos. In addition, you must also be capable of delivering professional support to staff, ensuring their development, bring them closer as team and build morale.

You’ll be expected to develop new relationships and partnerships across the school community, ensure that budgets are tightly controlled and work closely with the governing body on opportunities and strategies including exploring any appropriate possibilities for academisation.
