Job overview

Rated by Ofsted as Good (December 2017) Eskdale School is on an ambitious journey, taking it from 11-14 to 11-16 in September 2018. As a result, the school will grow dramatically, increasing both its student and staff numbers. We are currently working with Caedmon College Whitby to ensure there is a strong post-16 provision in the locality. The school prides itself on being a truly caring place, and, to quote Ofsted, “The school has a very caring ethos. Staff, students and parents value this. As a result, excellent relationships and good behaviour are the norm and students feel safe”.

As we move forward and grow, this ethos will be very much at the forefront of our thoughts.

As a school, we pride ourselves in offering all our students the opportunity for high academic achievement, vocational opportunities and personal fulfilment through a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities. We are also recognised for the excellent pastoral and careers support we provide to our students.

This is a real opportunity to make a significant difference in a school which has clearly identified objectives and a real desire to achieve. You will need the presence, ambition and the expertise to deliver strong, clear leadership while effectively communicating your vision across the school community.

Supported by the Governing Board, you will use your abilities to build partnerships and influence thinking. You will also need to be financially astute, effectively managing resources while building teams and ensuring our friendly, caring culture is maintained.

If this sounds like you we’d love to hear from you.

We very much welcome school visits. If you’d like the opportunity to visit, please contact Lisa Thompson, Office Manager on 01947 602856 or email: admin@eskdale.n-yorks.sch.uk to arrange a visit.
