Headteacher

We are a large rural school, set in the historic market town of Skipton, the “Gateway to the Dales”, and easily accessible to Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford and Lancashire.

The future holds some difficult challenges for the school and certainly for the successful headteacher who will need to be inspirational and motivating and have the ability to build on the school’s great number of strengths. The school’s environment has been transformed over the last few years and the outdoor space, particularly in Early Years provision and school garden, have given the children access to high quality outdoor equipment and activities.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced professional with a remit to further shape our improvement plan while continuing to raise standards and ensure the school’s ethos is maintained. As an effective leader, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of school life.

In addition, you’ll have a key involvement in maintaining and developing partnerships and must be able to set and achieve challenging goals while building positive relationships with children, parents, staff, governors, stakeholders and our wider communities.

To succeed, you must be able to work as an innovative, resilient, inspiring, collaborative team leader, with experience of school improvement and a sympathy and understanding of the ethos of a Church of England School
