Job overview

Headteacher

The Arbours Primary Academy

£competitive

The Arbours is a warm, welcoming and vibrant primary school in Northampton, offering a world-class education for children aged 4-11, with a dedicated early years provision. The standards we set are extremely high, and learning is a high priority. Children are encouraged to foster positive relationships with each other through our Academy Values, to be kind and courteous and develop lively and enquiring minds.

We embrace individuality and different viewpoints and are determined to get it right ‘for everyone’. Staff strive to excite and motivate our pupils through a rich and inspiring curriculum. We are committed to supporting each child to reach their full academic potential; but more than that, we want to enable our pupils to experience memorable and enchanting moments that will enrich their learning.

Rated ‘Good’ once again by Ofsted, in September 2017, we know that our pupils achieve strong outcomes during their time with us, and we continue to invest in school facilities, developing the learning offer for our pupils. As part of the David Ross Education Trust, we also have access to a range of enrichment opportunities across music, sport and the arts and resources that many schools outside the Trust are unable to offer.

Our new headteacher will be a confident, creative and ambitious school leader, with a clear focus on teaching and learning, and will ensure that we make the most of our exceptional potential. Your high expectations will match our own, and you will have a strong commitment to continual improvement and staff development.
