The Governing Body of Coulsdon Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a Headteacher who will lead our school in keeping with our motto, “Together, Growing in Mind, Body and Spirit.”

Situated within a conservation area on Bradmore Green in the heart of Old Coulsdon, our one form entry school provides a happy, nurturing, stimulating, safe and inclusive environment for all our children and staff. Our vision is one of a holistic approach to education delivered in a supportive Christian community. ​​

We are a Church of England Voluntary Aided School and our Christian ethos underpins the community feel. We are looking for the right individual who shares our values, is passionate about our children’s outcomes and builds on the links with our wider community. We would welcome applications from headteachers, experienced deputy headteacher or their equivalent.


We are looking for a Headteacher who:

●    Has at least three years’ dynamic leadership as headteacher or deputy headteacher or equivalent that has inspired, motivated others and raised standards

●    Is a practising, committed Christian

●    Has a pastoral heart for the whole school community and their well-being, coupled with a concern for families and their needs

●    Is committed to promoting equality and valuing diversity, championing this with staff, pupils and parents

●    Has experience of successful strategic planning and cooperation with senior colleagues, teaching and support staff, governors, parents, local authority or MAT, and the wider community

●    Has a commitment to broad education, creative arts, sport, and co-curricular activities

Shortlisting: 1st December 2022, after which all applicants will be contacted.

Interviews: Will take place over two days on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th December. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend on both days. Information about the interview days will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
