Job overview

Bare Trees Primary is a large and very successful primary school. The number of pupils on roll has grown considerably over recent years with the school now being classed as a 3-form entry school. The vast majority of pupils are from ethnic minority backgrounds and more than 88% of pupils have English as an additional language. The predominant minority ethnic group is Bangladeshi; however, more recently the school has admitted refugees from Syria and an increasing number of new arrivals from Eastern Europe. The proportion of pupils who are disadvantaged (57%) is well above the national average. With a higher than average number of pupils having some form of special educational needs, Bare Trees is the epitome of an inclusive school and has been judged at successive Ofsted inspections to be outstanding in all areas of its work.

“Bare Trees Primary School is an outstanding school. It provides pupils with an exceptionally safe and caring environment which, coupled with teaching of the highest quality at every stage, ensures that pupils enjoy school greatly and achieve outstandingly well. (Ofsted July 2012)”
