Wittering Primary School is a vibrant and successful place, Ofsted describe us as ‘a happy school’ and we are looking for an exceptional Headteacher to join this community and continue our journey to excellence. Our current Head is changing careers and is working with us to find the right successor to take on our ‘good’ 2-form entry village school with some interesting features – a funded brass band, great sports partnerships with an outstanding Secondary School, residential trips, and activities such as our Choir’s participation in ‘Young Voices’. We are part of a supportive Trust, we have excellent and friendly staff, a close relationship with our community (which includes RAF Wittering), we run a families centre to support our children and families and operate ‘Chill Club’ - our own wraparound childcare provision.

Our vision is to develop and prosper to the benefit of the school and wider community; we are ‘Learning to Fly High’.

The Governing Body is looking for a candidate who can:

• Lead by example with enthusiasm
• Ensure an inclusive, secure and caring environment where our children feel safe, well cared for and happy while they learn and grow
• Be an effective communicator with staff, parents/carers and the wider community and who will get involved in building stronger relationships both within the school, the Trust and the wider community
• Drive progress and achievement for all children and staff and empower them to fulfil their potential
