Due to the planned retirement of our current Headteacher, the Governors are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher.

The Avenue School is recognised by Ofsted as an “Outstanding” Special Needs Academy and it is housed in a modern, well-resourced purpose built environment.

The dedicated staff team is made up of highly skilled, experienced and motivated individuals.

Pupils are 2 - 19 years old, all have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan. Our pupils have at least a Severe Learning Difficulty, the majority have additional complex needs, and these include Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Autism.

The successful candidate will be passionate about the rights and needs of our pupils and will work in partnership with the Governing Body and staff to ensure that we deliver the very best for every pupil.

The Governors are looking for an inspirational, passionate and ambitious leader.
