Headteacher – Trafalgar Schools’ Federation- Twickenham 

 The Trafalgar Schools’ Federation brings together two neighbouring local authority schools with over 600 children, aged 4–11.   Our Federation came into being in 2017 but our history goes back to 1905 and as a result we have a well-established reputation in the area. We are an integrated part of primary provision in Richmond, playing an active part in the Richmond Primary Schools’ Teaching Alliance and working in partnership with St Mary’s University, Twickenham.

Our values are simple – Believe, Aspire, Achieve. This says it all about our focus.  We are keen to give our children a wealth of opportunities with a rich, varied and exciting curriculum – sport, music, drama and health education are all a key part of this. 

We are looking for a Headteacher who can lead us through the next phase of our development as we strive for the best possible education experience for our children. Whilst we do many things very well, there are areas we can improve on and sharing best practice is key. We want to maximise the benefits of the federation and the use of our facilities which have benefited from investment through the Local Authority’s Primary School PFI scheme. 

We are keen to appoint a leader with the vision and skills to lead us on this journey. Our children and their development will be at the heart of everything you do. You will need to be visible, a role model and able to get the best out of those around you. Emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills are likely to be key strengths. You may be an existing Headteacher looking for a new challenge or alternatively, a senior leader who feels ready for such a role. Either way, you will have a track record of leading improvement and change.  We have much to build on with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff all committed to provide the highest standards of education for children of our local community.
