Independent, co-educational day School (ISA) for pupils aged 3 to 16 years | 310 pupils on roll
Gad’s Hill is based within the former home of Charles Dickens, ideally located with easy access to the M2 motorway and high-speed rail connections to London. The School combines modern facilities with traditional values. The Kindergarten and Junior School occupy purpose-built accommodation opened in 2013.
The current Headteacher, Mr David Craggs, retires in September 2018 after 18 years’ distinguished service to the School.
Pupil numbers in the Kindergarten and Junior School are consistently strong. As an Independent School in a Grammar School area, the Senior School presents exciting challenges and September 2018 will see additional pupils recruited to our Senior School through a new Scholarship examination and award process.
The post of Headteacher comes with an attractive and competitive salary along with access to the National Teachers’ Pension Scheme and other benefits. As a day School, no accommodation is offered, however, Governors will consider assisting with relocation expenses for the successful candidate.

An overseas police check will be required by candidates who have worked or resided outside of the UK in the last 5 years.
