About Curry Rivel Church of England VC Primary School

Welcome to Curry Rivel Primary School and Little Pips website. We hope that this information will help everyone in the school community - parents, volunteers and staff - to provide the best for the children in our care. Our ethos is based on our core aims: be caring, be curious, be confident!

A caring citizen:

* shows respect and values others by showing kindness, co-operation and tolerance
* knows how to make good choices and considers behaviour as a matter for their
  concern
* respects and values their surroundings

A curious learner:

* has the skills to learn, a nurtured curiosity and creative thinker
* has high expectations of themselves
* experiences success - in academic, creative, social, practical and physical activities

A confident individual:

* is confident, resourceful and responsible
* feels successful and has their efforts valued
* has pride in themselves, in their work and in their school

We are a friendly and inclusive community with a wide range of excellent facilities including an environmental area; spacious grounds; IT suite with PCs and ipads; and two libraries. The curriculum is rigorous and active with linked events to enthuse and inform learning including ‘Wow’ days, visits and theme days. We appreciate the real benefit of having the nursery and school working so closely together which means that the transition for the children is seamless and stressless. There is also a linked Apple Trees Club which provides before and after school care and is open during the school holidays. We welcome visitors to see around the school and to talk through our aims and plans.
