Job overview

A wonderful opportunity to join a successful, growing, collaborative and dynamic specialist SEND Multi Academy Trust, in a beautiful part of the world.

Culverhill provides a high quality and holistic education for pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties, aged 7 to 16. Many pupils have speech, language and social communication needs and co-existing needs within the moderate to severe range of learning difficulty. Our vision of ‘Inspire, Nurture, Thrive’ is at the heart of everything we do and we offer a strong, safe and positive community, built on trust, respect, integrity and a deep sense of doing what is right for our pupils.

We are part of Enable Trust, a forward-thinking specialist SEND MAT. The Trustees are looking to appoint an ambitious and visionary Headteacher, to lead the school and work collaboratively across the Trust, as we pioneer excellence and innovate further.

We want to hear from you if you are an experienced SEND leader and strategic thinker, who is positive, approachable, decisive and caring, who shares our vision and values, and who is passionate about school improvement and pupil outcomes.

Joining Culverhill means:

  • Working with our amazing children, young people, families and staff, in our over-subscribed school, with a ‘good’ Ofsted rating
  • Being part of a young, growing and dynamic specialist SEND MAT.
  • Being part of the Trust Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO and other Senior Leaders to drive forward school improvement and Trust strategy
  • Being in a beautiful part of the world, with excellent amenities, surrounded by idyllic rural locations and fantastic transport links to Bristol, Bath, the South West, South Wales, The Midlands and London.
  • A relocation package of up to £2,000 for reasonable moving expenses
