Job overview

Harpfield Primary Academy is a successful one-form entry primary school in an area of rich cultural diversity.

Due to the retirement of our existing Headteacher, we are seeking a leader to continue their excellent work and progress with the school.

Since May 2013, Harpfield has been part of Creative Education Trust. Working in partnership, Harpfield Primary Academy and the Trust have made much progress in recent years. We were delighted to have had confirmation that we continue to be ‘good’ in March 2019. The report notes many strengths, including the academic standards at the end of Key Stage 2 and the good quality teaching. It was also highlighted that the school has continued to improve since the last inspection.

Creative Education Trust is looking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to:

1. Provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school that raises aspirations and drives academic performance

2. Champion a culture that encourages initiative and accountability and strengthens the quality of leadership at all levels

3. Deliver a rich and varied curriculum offer that meets students’ needs in an ever changing world

4. Develop effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders across the community to fulfil the school’s goals

An existing Headteacher or an outstanding and ambitious Deputy with substantial experience of school leadership, you have the creativity, drive and ambition to lead our school. You will possess the leadership qualities and flair to make great things happen that will take the school to the next level. You are committed to further developing a strong team of leaders, teachers and support staff to deliver a culture of continuous school improvement. Building on the ethos of Harpfield Primary Academy, you will foster an environment in which learning continues to thrive and where students are at the heart of everything.

In return for your energy, passion and ambition, we offer you the whole hearted support of a very successful and growing multi-academy trust in continuing to develop Harpfield Primary Academy. You will also be rewarded with a highly attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a group of highly talented Principals and Headteachers to drive the Trust’s future.

In the current climate, we are keen to speak to candidates and inform them as much as possible so for any extra information please contact Creative Education Trust's Head of Recruitment, Ian Harding, on Ian.Harding@creativeeducationtrust.org.uk or 07990 037495

Closing date for applications: Monday 5th October 2020 at 9am

Creative Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake relevant safeguarding checks.
