Bridgetown Primary School is located in the riverside market town of Stratford-upon-Avon which has a rich heritage and international renown as William Shakespeare's birthplace and is home to the Royal Shakespeare Company.  It is a prosperous town boasting a wide selection of sporting and recreational amenities along with many cultural centres and attractions.

Bridgetown is a popular two-form entry primary school and is situated on the south side of Stratford upon Avon and serves local families and neighbouring communities. The school has achieved SFVS status and is in a very healthy financial position.

We are very excited to have been selected as a Lego Innovation centre and look forward to incorporating it into the curriculum across the school during this academic year.

Our building has 14 spacious, bright, well equipped classrooms, a large award winning library, well stocked ICT suite, music room, spacious hall and large communal areas with kitchen facilities. The outside area benefits from a spacious playing field, four playgrounds, out-door stage and a Forest School.

In recent years, our School building has been developed to meet demand for places and as such the number on role has grown to 366. Bridgetown is fortunate to have a dynamic and talented teaching staff who are complemented by a committed and knowledgeable team of support staff.  All staff are proud to be part of Bridgetown and as such have all contributed to the creation of a positive and caring environment.

The Governing body is supportive and effective.  The broad ranging experience and energy provided by our governors ensures that statutory duties are carried out effectively and policies and procedures are well-managed and reviewed regularly.

Our school is committed to a broad, balanced and creative curriculum that encourages a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum is supported by many extra-curricular activities run by school staff and outside organisations. A fee-paying Breakfast Club and an After School Club provide childcare facilities from 7:45 am to 6 pm.

Bridgetown has strong sense of community in school between all staff, pupils, governors and parents.  It also makes a significant contribution to the wider community in which it is located and internationally where strong relationships have been built with Indian, Argentina and France.

Bridgetown has developed close links with other primary schools in the town to create a very successful cluster.  The cluster enjoys many positive benefits such as sharing outsourced resources, moderation collaboration, professional development and extended community links to name a few.

Friends of Bridgetown School, our parent teacher group, energetically raises funds to support the school financially through a large calendar of exciting and well attended events and projects; most recently, they contributed a substantial amount to the development of our Forest School and purchase of an outdoor stage.
