Our vibrant and thriving Church of England village school is seeking a Headteacher who will be committed to our continuing journey towards "outstanding".

This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of our well-respected current Headteacher who has laid strong foundations that will provide a basis for further school improvement.

We are a friendly, one form entry school set in the attractive village of Moulton, near Newmarket, serving numerous villages in the vicinity. We pride ourselves on providing our children with a wide and diverse curriculum with exciting challenges and opportunities for learning, both in and out of the classroom. The school has high expectations of itself and of the children and benefits from being at the heart of the village community, with supportive parents, staff and governors.

We want to appoint a Headteacher who:

• has a proven track record of inspirational leadership and management expertise with the ability to inspire and nurture exceptional performance from pupils and colleagues
• is an effective communicator with parents, children, governors and the wider community
• demonstrates a strong understanding of strategic planning
• leads by example, who knows what constitutes outstanding teaching and who pro-actively monitors and mentors staff
• thrives on challenge and embraces change.
