St. Wilfrid’s is a successful 11-18 school and sixth form college with a strong Catholic ethos, set in a caring and inclusive community. St. Wilfrid’s is part of The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust, a well-established Trust entering its 8th year of operation. Within our 12 academies are communities where our children and young people are given a clear vision for life, a vision which is rooted in the person and teachings of Jesus Christ and which is faithful to the mission of the Catholic Church.
As a school we continue to be sharply focused on raising achievement for all our young people and we believe our school is well positioned to improve rapidly and continue on its journey to outstanding.
Trustees are seeking an experienced and ambitious Catholic leader to build on the solid foundations of high achievement and aspiration of our pupils and staff. You will have an inspirational and visible leadership style to work with our talented and committed staff and engage with parents to ensure we continue to develop as an effective team, focussed on providing an aspirational learning environment for our students.
The appointed candidate will be a highly collaborative strategic leader with an ability to engage with a range of partners within and outside our Trust to further enhance school improvement across our secondary provision.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A practising Catholic, who can strive to uphold and develop strong spiritual and moral values throughout the whole school and wider community.
- A leader able to motivate, inspire, support and develop talent, of both students and staff, in a vibrant and forward thinking environment.
- A candidate with a proven track record of raising standards in teaching and learning, resulting in measurable whole school improvements, within an aspirational, caring and accountable ethos.
