‘Learning Together in a Happy and Successful School’
Following the recent retirement of the Headteacher, we are looking for a confident and inspiring Headteacher who will lead our vibrant and friendly school, continuing to raise the quality of teaching and learning and helping all our children to reach the best possible personal and academic outcomes.
We were judged by Ofsted to ‘Require Improvement’ in summer 2015 and look forward to an imminent re-inspection to show how much we have improved and how good we are!
Sellincourt is a popular, two-form of entry primary school at the heart of the Tooting community – situated in a residential road, yet only 10 minutes from underground and mainline stations. The school has a nursery, a Hearing Support Centre which reflects the diverse and multicultural local community.
As an experienced primary teacher and leader, you will have the opportunity to bring new ideas and combine them with the best of what we do now, taking the school into its next stage of development.
Our new Headteacher will have:
High aspirations for every child and a passion for celebrating diversity
A firm commitment to our children, their safety, achievement and well-being
The skills, experience and desire to lead and develop a strong staff team and embed a culture of high achievement throughout the school community
An enthusiasm for creating a learning environment where children, parents, staff, governors and visitors all enjoy working together in the pursuit of excellence.
Excellent coaching skills designed to promote and support high quality teaching and provision across the school
The ability to build on and further develop positive relationships with all members of the school’s community
In return we will offer you a supportive and welcoming school community, hardworking and committed staff and governors and a great bunch of children that are eager to learn and succeed.
