We are passionate about learning and transforming the lives of our young people. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Headteacher from 1st September 2023.

 The successful candidate will have strong leadership strengths and will be passionate about making that vital difference to the lives of young people in our school and their families. They will embrace our core values and have the ability and enthusiasm to effectively lead the secondary school towards achieving excellent outcomes. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience of working with pupils with complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties.

The above position offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be part of Central England Academy Trust. Our Secondary School is part of a thriving three school Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). Oak Wood Secondary School shares the same site with our sister school Oak Wood Primary School. Both schools are oversubscribed generic special schools, meeting the educational needs of young people aged 3 to 19 and are independent of each other but work very closely towards ensuring that resources are fully utilised for maximum impact. In addition, Oak Wood Secondary School manages the educational provision at Jade Unit for young people with significant SEMH needs at Brooklands NHS Hospital in Solihull. Also, part of the Trust is Higham Lane School which is a high-performing 11-18 Comprehensive School also located in Nuneaton. Central England Academy Trust will offer the successful candidate support and training to further develop their professional practice and membership of the Trust Executive Team.
