Immediate challenges include addressing issues raised by the recent Ofsted report, although quick progress can be made on many fronts. Priorities include maintaining high levels of safeguarding practice, stretching more able students, augmenting communication strategies and improving children’s writing to the same high levels as other subject areas, whilst maintaining a friendly and warm community atmosphere. The school is sited next to a huge urban regeneration programme and there will be opportunities to explore significant expansion in response demand.

To do this role successfully, we are looking for a leader who can inspire a whole school community that has a diverse range of cultures and experiences.  Working with a dedicated and supportive staff and an aspirational group of governors, you will see opportunities to take the school to the next stage while inspiring parents, teachers and children.

Our new headteacher will be passionate about education and determined to go the extra mile to ensure that the children in our care have the very best opportunities to grow, learn and achieve in a safe and welcoming environment.
