Job overview

Hassocks Infant School is a successful and thriving 3 form entry, Ofsted Outstanding School, in the heart of the village of Hassocks.

Our current Headteacher is retiring at the end of the autumn term 2018 after 12 years of dedication to the school. The Governors are therefore looking for an inspirational, dynamic and forward-thinking leader to bring fresh perspective and energy to guide our onward journey.

Our school provides a creative, nurturing and happy environment for children to develop as life-long learners. We want someone who will build on our substantial successes and the strong foundations already in place.

Applications are invited from outstanding, committed and enthusiastic senior leaders with a vision for creativity who would like to lead our successful and highly motivated team.

We encourage all interested candidates to come and see the school for themselves. To arrange a visit, please contact Mrs Sandra Brownjohn, Business Manager on 01273 842549 or by email to bursar@hassocksis.com.

Visits will be held on Wednesday 28th March and Wednesday 18th April.

Application closing date: Wednesday 25th April 2018.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th May 2018.

Please see the information pack annexed hereto for details of how to apply.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. There will be a need for the successful applicant to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.
