Saint Augustine’s is a popular, oversubscribed 11-18 Catholic Single Academy Trust (NOR 953 including 148 in Sixth Form) held in high regard amongst our community. We take great pride in providing a broad and balanced education for all students which extends beyond the ‘taught curriculum’.

The Governing board is seeking to appoint a highly effective, dynamic, and inspirational practising Catholic with a passion for inclusive community building to lead St Augustine’s Catholic College on its improvement journey following our ‘Requires Improvement’ Ofsted judgement in November 2021. The successful applicant will demonstrate how this can be achieved by making the college’s Values, Aims and Purpose a reality for all pupils, staff and the wider community.

 Our pupils seek a Headteacher who will be empathetic and relate to them. Our staff seek a Headteacher who will lead by example with strong emotional intelligence.


The successful Candidate will:

· Be a committed, practising Catholic with a strong personal faith and solid moral and ethical principles and values

· Have a proven track record of successful leadership and school recovery which has secured improved outcomes for all pupils

· Have a clear understanding and knowledge of how to create and improve opportunities for all pupils, including the most vulnerable, to achieve their potential by ensuring the highest quality education and enrichment

· Understand the current educational climate with strong financial acumen.
