Due to the retirement of the current Headteacher, an exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dependable leader to continue the solid development of our popular village school into the future.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, inclusive leader with a sense of fun to work with Governors, staff, pupils and parents to encourage ambitious achievement and enable every child to discover and reach their full potential. Or to put it in our Carrington Infant’s mission language – to ensure our children continue to “sparkle and shine”.

We believe that consistency and continuity of our strategic journey to be key and therefore the successful candidate will bring energy, vision and experience to build on the school's strong foundations, sharing our ambition for driving excellence. The Headteacher will work with a highly engaged staff team, supporting their continued professional development and maintaining the high standards of teaching and learning.

ABOUT US

Carrington Infant School is a two form entry infant school in the village of Flackwell Heath which sits between High Wycombe and Beaconsfield. It is ideally placed on the borders of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire whilst being near to the outer London Boroughs. It also has a six place Additional Resource Provision for children with social and communication needs who integrate with our mainstream children. Our recent Ofsted report highlighted the many strengths of the school, including its inclusiveness, sense of harmony and strong leadership.
