St. Bede’s College is a leading Catholic Independent Co-educational Grammar School in Manchester. Our aim is to inspire excellence and instil values in every aspect of College life so that all our pupils become well-rounded and capable individuals.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time, term time only School Nurse to cover the current postholder for a period of cover for 3 to 6 months (to be confirmed).

The postholder will work closely with our pastoral and safeguarding team and manage the health and medical needs of our pupils (3 - 18 years).

The School Nurse will be involved in ensuring we have up to date information and provision for any medical or health needs pupils might have, including dietary allergies. You will liaise with parents to ensure care plans are accurate and up to date and with all staff and third parties including catering, to ensure we are aware of any needs.

You will be an integral part of promoting wellbeing and mental health in school for the pupils and staff, talking directly with the pupils and working alongside teaching staff to promote wellbeing initiatives across the school. You will work closely with the safeguarding DSL and will be trained to Level 3.

You will hold an appropriate nursing qualification – RSCN / RN. An awareness of current developments in school nursing services, primary care and health promotion and of health needs of the school aged population is also required.
