HEART NCOP Activities and Events Officer (Temporary until December 2018)
We require a confident and responsible individual to champion and ensure the success of the HEFCE funded HEART NCOP (National Collaborative Outreach Programme) project in Leeds College of Building. You will be working to ensure the highest number of pupils from target wards within West Yorkshire, who have the ability to benefit from Higher Education, have the opportunity to do so.
Working within Leeds College of Building, you will arrange and manage events and activities to raise attainment and aspirations, and – most importantly – support the application and transition of pupils into Higher Education. You will have a particular focus on working with parents/carers/guardians and developing community/business links within identified wards.
You will help ensure the effective involvement of key stakeholders in the project and work within the wider team to set, progress and meet programme targets and objectives. There will be the requirement to attend HEART meetings as necessary as representative of your institution, and to support the work of the central HEART NCOP team. The role is extremely varied and requires applicants to work on a flexible basis including travel to alternative locations and some evening/weekend work.
You will be degree educated and/or have relevant work experience and possess excellent presentation and problem solving skills.
