We are looking for an exceptional leader with ambition to grow our new multi academy trust (MAT) into one of the highest performing and constantly improving trusts in the country.

The Herts for Learning (HfL) Multi Academy Trust was founded in 2016 by HfL Ltd, the UK’s largest Schools Company, providing a wide range of high quality school improvement services. Our MAT is the first of its kind, approved and designated by the DfE as a School Improvement Partner (SIP) MAT.

School shareholders have worked collaboratively with the HfL Ltd team to shape the HfL MAT in its initial stages and as a result it has a strong mandate and sense of local ownership. Numerous schools are currently in the process of applying to join the HfL MAT, based on our commitment to inclusivity, respect for individuality, proportionate intervention and an outward facing collaborative approach.

This is a tremendous opportunity to be in at the very start of something special. The successful candidate will have the vision and the dynamism we are seeking and will share our strong respect for each academy’s individuality, ethos and autonomy.

You will have the confidence, experience and skills to lead the MAT leadership team in taking responsibility for bringing together a range of unique schools, each with their own strengths and areas for development to work together, learn together and succeed together in achieving the very best outcomes for every single child in every single academy.
