High School Chemistry Teacher

General requirements of applicants 

1. You are a qualified teacher and a fluent English speaker with excellent verbal and writing skills; 
2. You hold a degree from a recognized institution (no lower than a Bachelor’s degree) and a recognized teaching qualification; 
3. You preferably have a minimum of two years relevant teaching experience in your graduating country; 
4. For our High School, you preferably have IGCSE / A Level experience;

About the role

In our Primary and Middle School, we offer our students an established but innovative ‘East Meets West’ education. This means that although our ‘East Meets West’ curriculum is in place, we are always innovating and improving it to keep pace with ongoing changes to China’s education system and the skills needed by our students to be successful in this 21st Century. This in turn means that we need our Primary and Middle School teachers to not only deliver our curriculum, but to be reflective, collaborative and innovative.

In our High School, we offer the IGCSE and A Level curricula. As our students are English Language Learners, our High School teachers need to ‘wear two hats’. That is, not only do we require our high school teachers to be experts in their respective disciplines, but also to be teachers of the English language, as each discipline will have its own vocabulary and unique demands on students’ abilities.
