Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Behaviour, Support, Guidance)

The Devonshire Hill Nursery and Primary School have two exciting opportunities for experienced SEND HLTAs who are ready to play an important role, under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENCo, in the development of our new Social Communication Classes in Upper and Lower KS2. We have already set up a very successful EYFS/KS1 class, which we encourage you to see. 

As the Lead SEND HLTA of either Topaz or Aquamarine Class, you will be responsible for working alongside the Classteacher and SENCo to plan and deliver creative and engaging learning experiences for a maximum of 8 children. This will require a holistic approach, focusing on the building of relationships and understanding the needs of the whole child. This opportunity will suit an experienced SEND HLTA who has a passion and natural ability to engage pupils with complex learning, social communication and language needs and has a strong classroom presence.
