Required as soon as possible - HLTA required in Key Stage Two

This is a full-time role – up to 32.5 hours per week (term-time only)

Monday to Friday, core school hours (between 8am and 4pm)

Salary: HLTA Grade 7, Points 12-19 (Meridian Trust)

£17,929- £20,385 Actual per year (£24,496 – £27,852 FTE per year) plus there may be an additional contract for midday supervision. This role will also qualify for a market supplement of £1500 (full-time, fixed amount) per year.


 We currently have a vacancy for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage Two classes at Hatton Park Primary School. You will be working as part of a friendly, flexible and supportive team supporting pupils in key stages one and two. The role may involve some whole-class teaching, leading group interventions as well as supporting individual pupils with a range of needs. You will also be expected to be prepare some lesson resources and participate in the marking of pupils’ work. You will also be required to undertake midday supervision of pupils and a willingness to undergo first-aid training would be desirable.

The ideal candidate:

 

  • HLTA teaching qualification
  • Experience of teaching Key Stage One/Two in an HLTA role
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
