Responsibilities:

• Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
• Assisting with planning and preparation of lessons, including creating resources and materials.
• Providing targeted support to individual students or small groups to facilitate their learning and progress.
• Leading and supervising activities, both in and outside the classroom, to engage students and promote their personal development.
• Assessing students' progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing feedback to both students and teachers.
• Managing behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement individual education plans for students with additional needs.
• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students, following school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Hold a recognized HLTA qualification or possess relevant experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
• A strong understanding of the national curriculum and a commitment to keeping up-to-date with educational developments.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• A caring and patient nature, with a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development.
