Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) English

The Langley AcademySlough

Do you have the drive, enthusiasm and commitment to deliver outstanding support to help young people?

The Langley Academy is seeking to appoint a higher level teaching assistant for their English faculty.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong, supportive team in our vibrant English faculty. We are looking for a qualified HLTA or highly experienced colleague who is passionate, organised and committed to the ethos of the academy.

Ideally we want to appoint someone who already has the HLTA qualification but applications from others who have appropriate experience and who are willing to undertake the HLTA assessment process are equally welcome to apply. Several of our previous HLTAs have moved on to be outstanding teachers.

You will need to show initiative and flexibility and enjoy working with individuals, groups and whole classes. Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential. You must be comfortable in dealing with people from all backgrounds and have a great deal of common sense and initiative.

If you are interested in this post please visit our school website where you will find more information together with an online application form. If you have any queries, please contact Tara Mackay, PA to Headteacher and HR Assistant on 01753 214474.

Closing date: 9am 17 December 2021.

Interviews: w/k commencing: 5th January 2022.

The trust reserves the right to appoint ahead of the closing date.

The Langley Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
