About the Opportunity

Moredon Primary School are looking for a confident HLTA with experience to join our school to support the learning for our children.

This role will involve teaching whole classes to provide PPA support for our teachers as well as supporting children’s learning in our classrooms.

As part of our energetic, hardworking and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success whilst supporting the development of a healthy learning environment for all children within the school.

We would need you to be flexible and happy to work in any year group and it is important to us that our Teaching Assistants understand the value of play and personal development. Experience and training of working with children with additional needs would be beneficial however it's important to note that you will be working with the support of Class Teachers and the SENDCo alike. We are a team that supports each other to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.

Our ideal candidate will be

  • An excellent, experienced Teaching Assistant or existing Higher Level Teaching Assistant who loves working with children and helping to inspire them to achieve high standards and realise their potential;
  • A great team player who can work successfully in collaboration with others and contribute towards the school ethos and its school improvement activities;
  • Someone who enjoys the challenge and can bring the vision, passion and drive to raise standards in all aspects of school life;
  • Be fully committed to working collaboratively with the wider school community and across the federation;
  • Able to make a significant contribution to the wider life of our School;
  • Has experience of working with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties;
  • Able to positively promote inclusion and have high expectations for all children.
