About the role:  Hartley Primary Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our highly collaborative and supportive team.  Our teaching support team is pivotal to our success in the classroom and provide a great deal of support for our teachers, and this position for an HLTA will strengthen the team even further with their knowledge, experience and additional support that they can provide our teaching staff with.  Our successful candidate will be able to establish strong working relationships with staff and students alike, be able to work as part of a team and will be reliable and excellent communicators.  A Level 3 qualification in childcare is necessary for this post. The hours are 18.75 per week - a great part-time opportunity within a very successful school! 

The salary offered ranges between £7,916 - £8,706 based on Term Time only (FTE £19,030 - £20,930). We aim to conduct interviews week commencing 24th February 2020 and our successful candidate will start in post in April 2020.

Hartley Primary Academy is a through-primary and therefore flexibility and willingness to work across the full age range, 4 -11, is essential.

  • Able to work with individual pupils and small groups of pupils
  • Able to demonstrate experience with interventions and learning support
  • Candidates should have a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent and have experience of working within a primary school

  • Possess a caring nature and a deep regard for children

Today, it is part of Leigh Academies Trust and provides primary education for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11.
