Job overview

We are are looking to appoint a number of HLTAs across both our Primary and Secondary departments.  


As an HLTA you will be expected to support the development and embedding of these areas / practices across the school, including training and up-skilling staff, working with small groups as well as individual students. Our HLTAs also support school improvement in a number of areas including Behaviour, Communication, Creative and Physical Development.  All of the areas are outlined in the attached job description.   


Should you have a preference to focus on one of these areas in particular, please make this clear in your application.  


Experience of working with children with profound and multiple learning disabilities would be an advantage.  


We are seeking to appoint a number of Higher Level Teaching Assistants across both Primary and Secondary departments and both our Tonbridge and Wouldham sites. We are keen to hear from candidates from a variety of backgrounds.  Some experience in a school / special school environment / having worked with children / worked with children with special educational needs would be desirable.

We are looking for people who are passionate about working with children and young adults with special educational needs and are able to help us make a difference and our pupils to achieve their full potential.


The successful candidates should possess GSCE’s (or equivalent) in English & Maths at Grade C / 4 or above.  Training will be provided and there are many opportunities for career development and progression. 


As we have multiple sites, all staff contracts are flexible for placement.

Due to the conditions and complex needs of our pupils, continuity and consistency of support is paramount, therefore candidates will need to commit to the full working hours. 

Hours of work are 9:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. (35 per week) Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks).
