Higher Level Teaching Assistant

The Governors are looking to appoint an experienced HLTA. The successful candidate will be involved with the development and delivery of appropriate programmes of study to ensure that children of all abilities meet or exceed expected targets. The post will require supporting pupils with a diverse range of learning needs, including gifted and talented, initially in Lower Key stage 2.In addition class cover for PPA will be required in LKS2.The post will require the successful candidates to have:

• A real commitment to working with children and those who impact their lives and educational experience, including parents/carers and a range of multi-agency professionals
• A professional attitude and commitment to furthering their own development
• Significant experience of working within KS2
• Strong interpersonal skills and positive behaviour management
• A high level of motivation and initiative
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Experience of, or the potential to develop, professional knowledge and skills to support pupils with specific Special Educational Needs
• Experience of delivery of PSHE, R.E or MFL is desirable

Salary: Grade 7 scp 22– 25 £10.60 to £11.62 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week, Term time only
Contract: Permanent
