Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Vision for Education are urgently recruiting for a higher level teaching assistant on behalf of an innovative Learning Trust to work at a successful and driven Secondary School in Stockport LEA. This is a Full Time position, which is due to commence immediately for the right candidate. The role has the option to become permanent for the right HLTA if you desire. At the end of the school year, the school will be relocating to Northwich and wish to bring the successful candidate into the new campus.
As a higher level teaching assistant you will be working in a school who believe in utilising technology and pupil led learning to ensure pupils achieve excellent progress. Your focus will be on pupils with SEN who require extra support with their studies. You will report to the SENDCo in the school and also act as a Key Worker for identified pupils in order to motivate and encourage them to achieve success.
To be considered for the position of Higher Level Teaching Assistant you should:
- Have experience supporting pupils aged KS2 - KS5
- Have a genuine desire to work with SEN pupils
- Have experience working with Flipped Learning Styles and technology in the classroom
- Be qualified to work as a teaching assistant Level 4 or 5, or have a good working knowledge of teaching assistant standards
- Preferably have experience and be confident with the preparation and delivery of teaching
- Be an enthusiastic and supportive individual who enjoys working with young people
- Respect the school Ethos and Values
