We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our SEMH school.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a special school which opened in September 2020 and is part of the Unity Schools Partnership multi-academy trust.

At this exciting time for the school, we are looking for individuals with a passion for SEN to join our team and make an impact on the learning of our students. The successful applicant will need to be able to work flexibly, have excellent behaviour management skills and be prepared to assist pupils on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups and whole class settings.

Sir Bobby Robson School educates young people between the ages of 8-16 who have a wide range of social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of the pupils are also on the Autistic Spectrum. The school serves a catchment area that covers Ipswich and surrounding areas of Suffolk.

The school is part of a collaborative, forward thinking Academy Trust of 30 schools. The school is part of a network of special schools, alongside The Bridge School, Ipswich, Sir Peter Hall School, Bury St Edmunds and Churchill Special School, Haverhill. In addition to this, we have been approved to open new special schools in Bury St. Edmunds and Romford. You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will be available to offer and advice and guidance as the school moves forward.

For more information, to arrange a visit or an informal discussion about the role please contact Adam Dabin, Headteacher, by email head@sbrschool.co.uk or phone 01473 5562 10.
