Higher Level Teaching Assistant and ICT support 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team and support pupils and staff within the school.

The ideal candidate will be expected to take on responsibility for supporting individual pupils, teachers, and the school community as required.

The key responsibilities of this role are to develop an understanding of the special educational needs of identified pupils, and ensure their access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, equipment and materials. To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them consistently, with respect and consideration and to help promote independent learning.

The HLTA may also be required to teach pupils assigned to him/her in the allocated class according to their educational needs. To supervise the work of another classroom assistant if appropriate. To maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the school and also manage systems necessary to co-ordinate the work of the school as a whole.
