Salary: Scale 5 Point 12 – 15 (£25, 833– £27, 255 per annum, pro rata)
Actual salary payable: £22, 222 - £23, 443.46 per annum
32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide effective Learning Support to students in and out of the classroom, with a special focus on SEN students in the SEMH category. The post holder is required to have a high level of literacy and numeracy skills and must be committed to contributing to improving the achievement and attainment of our students.
The successful candidate must also be committed to supporting students with disabilities and learning difficulties. An HLTA qualification or evidence of working at this level would be advantageous.

Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.
