Lakeside Primary Academy is excited to offer the opportunity for the right candidate to join the school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. 


This is a challenging yet rewarding role that will involve working with class teachers, the SENCO and other support staff to facilitate the teaching and learning of pupils. We are offering a role providing PPA cover, KS2 class cover and small group intervention support as a part of our Inclusion and Wellbeing Team (WEB Team).


Working in partnership with Senior staff in the school to develop and undertake work, care and support programmes, you will enable access to learning for pupils whilst assisting the teacher in the management of pupils. In addition, you will modify the curriculum and develop resources to support teaching and the use of ICT to support learning. 


As a qualified HLTA, you will ideally have experience of delivering lessons to a class as well as experience of intervention work. With a minimum level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification, coupled with Teaching Assistant L3, you will have experience of working with children in a supportive capacity and of modifying or developing resources to support teaching. 


A competent user of ICT, you must have a full working knowledge of school policies relating to health and safety, behaviour, attendance, equal opportunities and child protection.
