Job overview

Students must leave education valuing the significance of our collective History. We are looking to appoint a dynamic History teacher who is innovative and inspiring with the ability to lead a history curriculum that is authentic, connected to our community and engages our students. The successful candidate will share our values, be passionate about their subject and inspire all students to share their enthusiasm for History. 

We are looking for a teacher who has: 

  • A shared commitment to our values and to forming positive working relationships with our community. 
  • Experience of excellent, inspirational teaching History up to Key Stage 5. Experience of teaching Government and Politics is desirable, but not essential.
  • Commitment to their own professional development and a culture of open professional dialogue
  • Passion for combating social disadvantage and generating social capital
  • Enthusiasm for innovation in curriculum and assessment.
